"Touching Lives, one child,
village & country at a time"

Since its creation, along with its partners, Universal Mission has provided education and health services to children and families in the remote villages of Nigeria, Ghana, Guinea Bissau & Cameroun. To combat the inequity and poverty that these communities face, Universal Mission aims to empower citizens and strengthen families by investing in three core areas..Health, Education and Poverty Alleviation. Universal Mission was founded by Ike and Nne Ngumoha, both born and raised in the Ibo tribe of Eastern part of Nigeria. With a deep understanding of the devastating impacts inequity and poverty can have on young people’s lives, Ike and Nne vowed to provide critical and life changing support through Universal Mission Project.

Healthcare is critical. Many people in most 3rd World countries do not have access to health care services, clean water and appropriate sanitation. They also face periodic outbreaks of cholera, malaria and typhoid fever. Yet, the healthcare system in these countries faces many challenges, ranging from a shortage of doctors to lack of well equipped nearby health care centers. As a result, disease spread and infant mortality rates are high and the life expectancy is a mere 50 years old.

We partner with local organizations in these countries to sponsor and host free medical outreach services in remote villages. Through this program, we educate villagers on basic hygiene, nutrition, and create Sickle cell & HIV/AIDS awareness. Universal Mission has built a health center in one community "without any within 7 miles radius" in Southeastern part of Nigeria. The organization aims to build and equip more health care centers closer to villages so more children and families have access to health services. We know this work is having an impact. We’ve seen reduced infant mortality rates in most of these villages since the commencement of our programs.

Education is powerful. It can change and influence lives and communities in profound ways. Yet many African countries do not offer free education. Often, smart and eager students don’t have nearby schools to attend and the existing schools may be dilapidated lacking roofs, floors and even plumbing.

Universal Mission is dedicated to ensuring that all children regardless of their family income level have access to quality education. We award scholarships, donate uniforms and school supplies to more than 100 pupils and students a year in the villages of 3rd World countries. We will also work toward building and operating new secondary schools that allow students to learn in healthy and productive environments. Investing in education will have a tremendous impact on communities. When students are provided with support, the person will help others, impacting generations to come.

Poverty alleviation is essential in building thriving communities. Poverty has devastating impacts. Providing support through education will be instrumental in combating poverty. To improve the economy and reduce poverty, we provide small business microloans, workshops, seminars and support to empower villagers. Workshops cover a range of business management issues including:

  • Healthcare Assistant
  • Computer Literacy
  • Bookkeeping and budgeting
  • Invoicing and Time Management
  • Communications and Marketing
  • Team Development
  • Accountability/Good Stewardship
  • Counseling services

Universal Mission plans to build a youth development/vocational centers where villagers can acquire the critical skills to empower them and lift them out of poverty. These centers will allow communities to learn skills such as carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, shoemaking, hair braiding, dress making and much more. With a computer training center, villagers will have access to information technology and develop critical skills for the 21st century.

Universal Mission look forward to a day where families/indigents in remote rural communities of our world are thriving in environments with adequate health care services, quality education and equipped to be great leader of tomorrow. It's not a day, month or year's job: there is a lot to be done but we take it one child/village/country at a time in partnership with other organization sharing same vision. Partner with us in this great work. An important part of our mission is opening doors of cultural exchange between US and the people of different countries of the world. There are several ways to do this:

.

Donate: Medical supplies, books for all grade levels, school supplies, clothing, toys and other items to assist us in equipping local, hospitals schools and helping families in need of such. This is a simple—yet impactful—way to support these communities.
Student sponsorship: It cost only $370 a year, to put a high school student through a whole school year: this includes school fees, uniforms, books and other school supplies. Fulfilling such a dream for someone really in need of education but can't afford it, is not just a blessing to the person but to the community and our world.
Join us for one of our annual Mission trips: Universal Mission organizes and leads trips for individuals who have Mission trip in their "Bucket list" or are eager to serve in rural villages of 3rd World countries. fulfill it by assisting in all needed plans/documents. It usually an overwhelming way to have first-hand experience, while making a difference in the lives of these victims of fate.
